Emily Pittard

Laboratory Director & Clinical Dental Technician (Denturist)

Emily is a fully qualified Clinical Dental Technician (Denturist), Dental Technician, and Dental Nurse — with a passion for craftsmanship and patient care at every level.

As a clinician, Emily has extensive experience working alongside specialist dentists on complex restorative and denture cases. She is highly trained in both conventional and digital impression techniques and collaborates closely with local dentists to deliver exceptional prosthetic solutions to patients. Emily has also completed advanced training in the SEMCD (Suction Effective Mandibular Complete Denture) technique under the guidance of Dr Fumiyaki Yamazaki, offering advanced solutions for complete denture stability and comfort.

Her commitment to patient-centred care is reflected in her membership of the prestigious Besford Club, a group dedicated to championing the best interests of patients in all aspects of dentistry. She has also trained under Sharonne Zaks, a leading expert in managing dental anxiety, allowing her to offer calm, compassionate care for even the most nervous patients.

As a technician, Emily’s artistry shines through in her composite work, where she carefully matches gum and tooth shades to create natural, individualised smiles. She has co-designed a revolutionary implant technique that enables safe, predictable, immediate loading with strong, stable bases. Emily has restored over 600 implant-retained locator cases and brings a deep technical understanding to every project.

Graduating from the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) as a Clinical Dental Technician, Emily is a proud member of the British Academy of Clinical Dental Technicians (BACDT) and the College of General Dentistry. She also serves as an Education Associate for the General Dental Council (GDC), assessing dental education facilities across the country and ensuring she stays at the forefront of clinical and legal developments.

Emily sees patients directly for complete dentures, sports guards, and mouthguards, and works under dentist prescriptions for other dental devices.

Outside of her clinical work, Emily is a trustee for the Den-Tech Charity, a co-founder of Nightshift — a movement supporting women in dental technology — and a passionate creative. She enjoys photography, travelling, and is currently writing her second book
